My SoundSwitch Story

I got my start with SoundSwitch after an article came out in Digital DJ Tips about the software in 2016. I knew I wanted something more than sound active for my lighting, but didn’t want to be burdened with a basic DMX controller, another computer or any other way that was currently available to run lights… I wanted to set it and forget it.

I was customer #24 when SoundSwitch was finally released. I looked for other users but couldn’t find many, so I started the SoundSwitch User Group on Facebook and sent an message to Matt Watkins, the founder of SoundSwitch to tell him about the group.

In the years since I’ve put out dozens of videos about SoundSwitch on YouTube, have represented SoundSwitch at Mobile Beat Las Vegas and The DJ Expo in Atlantic City, been a beta tester for Engine Lighting and the Control One, consulted on the creation of the SoundSwitch course in The Blueprint and offered in person demos and instruction from groups of 1 to 20.

I’ve been working with industry leaders to integrate SoundSwitch into their setups and am now happy to offer this service to the public!

SoundSwitch Turnkey Setup: Starts at $750

After an initial consult you’ll get a brand new project file for your SoundSwitch that includes:

  • All fixtures imported patched and addressed

  • Autoloops fully customized to your setup

  • Positions set for moving heads

  • Attribute cues set for moving heads

  • Automation presets tailored to your setup

  • Visualizer video demonstrating your autoloops

  • Fixture plot and address map

  • Zoom call to install and walk you through your setup

Note: I do not program for Gig Bars or similar all-in-one lights or lasers.

As of 5/8/24 Turnaround is currently 4-6 weeks.
